I have been reading in Jeremiah. The most prevalent message throughout these first twenty-six chapters is God’s deep anguish and frustration with those who claim to be Godly and are not! How they scatter the sheep and cause such pain! Even during all this, God declares, “Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is in God! He will be like a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out its roots by the river, he will not even notice the heat coming, but his leaf shall be green: he is not even careful in times of drought because he never stops yielding. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
Remember you, and I only answer for ourselves and our own actions before the Father. If we get our eyes off God and focus on the world around us, it can be hard to trust in the face of such debauchery. That cannot be our focus! But lift your eyes, our God is just and righteous regardless of what this world does! Our God never fails! “(Galatians chapter 6) 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” We can trust God!!
Hope in II Chronicles 16:9, which says,” For the eyes of the Lord run to and from throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him”. Our God desires to be there for us! I am not saying that because you serve God, you never have a problem. We live in a fallen world, and trials will come! Better said, not maybe, but definitely we will face trials. But I know my God never fails through the trial. The bible is full of one battle after another, and it is also full of stories of victory when the people chose to follow him. From the ashes will grow those amazing fruits of the spirit of love, joy, peace, etc. How does one person come out of a trial defeated, beaten down, barely able to raise his own head, much less help anyone else? Then there are those others who are still laughing and using their pain to rescue others from defeat. That is the difference of a life sold out for Jesus! He suffered His pain, our gain!! We will suffer, but we can continue to yield love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, goodness, and faithfulness!
