The Last verse in my devotional this morning is “So let us not get tired of doing what is good at just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9). The beauty of life is sewn with each thread of every action. We cannot see the masterpiece God is creating in and through us, even from the very beginning, as he formed and placed in each of us talents and gifts. He then strategically placed us in a family that would, through our character, develop in us all the right facets of life to carry us to our destiny. The enemy tries to destroy the story! And redirect our destiny.
Lately, I have been pondering life. I guess it is just a part of growing old and experiencing the loss of loved ones. One thing that is abundantly clear is that, just as the Bible says, this life is a vapor! Like grass, we are here today and gone tomorrow. But gone where? That is the true question. Where will this soul spend the rest of eternity?
In the Bible, God calls out throughout it, “I put before you, life and death, choose life!” We all get discouraged just like Job in chapter 7. The reality is, we put too much emphasis on this life. This life is not my destiny. Heaven is! This world is not my home, I am just passing through, trying to find my way back home to HEAVEN. My Father GOD is trying to help me. Jesus has laid down his life and suffered the pain and shame of my sin so that I can choose life and come home one day. Why get discouraged? So, I lose earthly possessions, they will never last anyway, and God has prepared for me a home in Heaven. I lose family members if they have given their hearts to him, but it is only a temporary separation! Maybe I suffer sickness and pain from this fallen world, did not Jesus suffer and keep the course! “So let us not get tired of doing what is good.” We can trust God; he is a good father! We will reap what we sow; therefore, Father help me sow seeds of love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, temperance, and patience.
My little sister Nae went to the hospital with what she thought was appendicitis. She was told she had two months to live due to liver cancer. She told me once our miracle could be just around the corner. She did not want to give up. She never did; she fought a hard battle and lived two years and two months, always telling others about the love of Jesus. I do not want to give up either. How about you? She is in Heaven, one day I will be too. How about you!
