This (L-loud A-adoration U-until D-death) seems great! Let us celebrate our savoir, but when you really get down to the nitty-gritty. How the disciples truly accepted death rather than back down from what Jesus had taught. Are we committed to the cause?
During my Bible study, I was reading about Saul and how he was anointed to be King of Israel! What a place of honor God had put him in. All he had to do was follow God’s leadership, and all would be well. Then came the day he transgressed the instruction of God that had been sent by Samual; In his words, “I feared the people and obeyed their voice.” My God, how many times have I walked in his shoes?
God has been so merciful not to turn away from me; he just keeps encouraging me! During such a struggle, God directed me to this verse, Jeremiah 1:8: “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
I pray the Father helps me not get distracted from where my help comes from. Keep my heart humble and depending on you, Father! Our lives cannot be about who we are but about who HE is! Jesus said in the Bible, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.” Only HE can guide and direct. Only HE can be there in our darkest hours. Only HE can fill that God-sized hole in our hearts!
Rest assured, I will fail you, but God never will. The world is so fearful that there is a call for psychological professionals to deal with the anxiety taking over humanity. God says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you. Declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope, and a future. Verse 12: Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord!
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! Seek the Lord and do not be afraid of them, for God goes with you and he will rescue you! (Jerimiah1;8)
