Then he sent him to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit! Now Peter carried in himself something beyond himself. Power and boldness not his own but sent down from heaven above. This intimate relationship to heaven, which helps the believer face the world. Jesus described him as a leader and guide. From that point on, we observe a change in Peter, a boldness that never backed down, even in the face of death.

I like the psalmist’s wonder Psalm 8:4 “what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them”?

I like Peter had run away from God. Then came the day he drew me back to the church, and I struggled in my own strength to stand for Christ. One day, broken and discouraged. I told the Lord, if you want me to keep doing this, you need to help me. God said stand and praise him. I was like, ” No way, I am so unworthy. But he continued to prompt me to stand in worship. My friend Della stood in the church, and it gave me the courage to stand too. As I lifted off the bench, I heard God say, ” Arise in joy, my daughter. I remember thinking he called me daughter! When I reached the full standing position, the Holy Spirit had fallen on me, and I cried, repented, and rejoiced all at the same time. From that day until this, my boldness of service has returned.

So, what is the other component to a life of LAUDING the LORD? We cannot do it on our own. Let him in and let him push out everything that is not of Christ! God wants to restore a Life of victory. He wants to give you beauty for ashes! He loves you! When you get a hold of that, you cannot help but LOUDY ADORE UNTIL you DIE!
